Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of startcompany.ie and the services provided by Configurix Ltd (company number 808025, registered in Ireland), trading as StartCompany.ie. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide Irish company formation and post-incorporation services including, but not limited to, CRO filings, registered office address, company secretary, annual returns, tax registration and document apostille. The exact scope of each engagement is defined by the package or service you purchase.

2. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information about directors, shareholders, beneficial owners and the proposed company.
• Provide valid identification and address documents where requested for anti-money-laundering (AML) compliance.
• Notify us of any changes to your information promptly.
• Use our services for lawful purposes only.

3. Fees and payment

Fees are listed on the relevant service page and include CRO filing fees unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in full before work begins. We accept card payments processed securely by Stripe.

4. Refunds

Because formation work begins immediately upon payment and involves third-party fees (CRO, Revenue, etc.), refunds are limited. You may request a full refund within 24 hours of payment only if we have not yet begun filing. After filing, government fees and the time spent on your file are non-refundable. Any refundable balance will be returned to your original payment method within 14 days.

5. Delivery timelines

Standard Irish company formations are typically completed in 3–5 working days from receipt of all required information and ID. Timelines are estimates — CRO processing times can vary and are outside our control.

6. Section 137 bond & non-resident directors

Companies with no EEA-resident director are legally required to hold a Section 137 Non-EEA Director Bond. We can arrange this bond as part of our non-resident packages; the bond itself is provided by a regulated insurer.

7. Registered office & secretary services

Where you purchase our registered office address or nominee company secretary services, the service runs for 12 months from activation and renews annually. We will notify you before renewal.

8. No legal, tax or accounting advice

We provide administrative formation and compliance services. We do not provide legal, tax or accounting advice. Where you need such advice, please consult a qualified solicitor, accountant or tax adviser.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Intellectual property

All content on startcompany.ie (text, design, logos) is owned by Configurix Ltd or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Confidentiality & data protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Irish and EU data protection law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate services if you breach these Terms, fail to provide required information, or use our services for unlawful purposes. You may cancel ongoing services (e.g. registered office) by notifying us in writing before the next renewal date.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
