Why Register for Tax?

Once your Irish company is incorporated, it must be registered with the Revenue Commissioners for the relevant taxes. This is a legal requirement and must be completed before the company begins trading or employing staff.

Taxes We Register You For

  • Corporation Tax (CT) — All Irish companies must register for Corporation Tax, currently at 12.5% for trading income
  • Value Added Tax (VAT) — Revenue currently lists principal thresholds of €42,500 for services-only supplies and €85,000 for most goods supplies; other rules can apply
  • PAYE/PRSI — Required if the company will employ staff, including director salaries
  • Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) — If applicable to your industry (construction, forestry, meat processing)

What We Handle

  • Completion and submission of the TR2 form to Revenue
  • Registration for all applicable tax heads
  • Setting up access to the Revenue Online Service (ROS)
  • Guidance on your tax obligations and filing deadlines

Important Notes

Revenue processing depends on the registration, evidence supplied and whether additional documentation is requested to verify the company's activity. We explain the required evidence before submission but cannot guarantee a fixed completion date.
