StartCompany.ie currently offers four Irish LTD formation routes. The price depends on whether the founder needs only the core incorporation, IPN and first-return support, a registered office and broader first-year services, or a two-year Section 137 bond.
This guide explains the current prices using the same package data displayed on the pricing page. It separates the official CRO charge from the professional service and identifies items that should be budgeted even when they are not part of a selected package.
Current prices
Basic €240, Standard €490, Premium €798 and Non-Resident €2,499. All four current package descriptions include CRO fees.
StartCompany.ie Package Price Comparison
| Package | Price | Primary use |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | €240 | Everything required to register a straightforward Irish limited company. |
| Standard | €490 | A guided setup for founders who need IPN support and first-year compliance help. |
| Premium | €798 | Formation, registered office and practical company secretarial support in one package. |
| Non-Resident | €2,499 | Complete formation route for companies requiring a two-year Section 137 bond. |
Why Four Prices Exist
Irish companies do not all have the same setup. One founder may have an Irish address, PPSN and EEA-resident director. Another may need an IPN, registered office, RBO filing or Section 137 bond. Packaging those cases separately avoids charging every customer for every possible service.
The right comparison is therefore the total scope required by the company, not simply the first number shown on a page.
CRO Fee Included
The CRO currently lists EUR50 as the electronic fee for Form A1, the new-company incorporation filing. Every current StartCompany.ie formation package states that the CRO fee is included.
The package price also covers the professional preparation and documents listed in its scope. The official fee by itself does not include a constitution prepared through StartCompany.ie, share certificates, support, IPN work, an address or a bond.
Potential First-Year Costs Outside Formation
A company may need bookkeeping, annual accounts, tax returns, payroll, VAT work, banking, insurance, licences, contracts or specialist legal and tax advice. Those operating costs should not be confused with the incorporation package.
Where a package does not include registered office, RBO or first annual return work, budget those separately. The package pages state which of those items are included.
How StartCompany.ie Describes No Hidden Costs
Basic, Standard and Premium list no hidden costs among their features. The practical way to apply that statement is to read the written scope and disclose the company's facts before ordering. A requirement outside the scope is not transformed into an included service by the headline price.
Ask about the director residence, PPSN or IPN, registered office, secretary, RBO and annual-return position. Those questions make the expected total more transparent.
Choosing on Value Rather Than Price Alone
Basic is strong value for a prepared straightforward LTD. Standard can be better value when IPN and first-return support are genuinely required. Premium can consolidate services that would otherwise be arranged separately. Non-Resident prices a specialist bond route rather than an ordinary resident filing.
