What is a Company Seal?

A company seal (also known as a common seal) is an embossing device. Section 43 of the Companies Act 2014 requires a common seal bearing the company's name legibly. Having a seal does not mean it must be used on every contract.

When is a Seal Used?

• Executing deeds and formal contracts
• Share certificates
• Property transactions and leases
• Bank documentation and loan agreements
• Any document requiring formal company authentication

What You Receive

We will produce a high-quality embossing seal engraved with your company's registered name and CRO company number. The seal will be delivered to your registered address or an alternative address of your choosing.

Important Notes

Use must follow the Companies Act, your constitution and the appropriate authority, signing and countersigning requirements. Confirm the execution method with the solicitor handling the transaction; purchasing a seal does not itself approve or validate a document.
