What is a registered office address?
A registered office is the official address of an Irish company. It is shown on the CRO public register and must be kept up to date. This is different from your trading address, warehouse, home office or accountant's office, although one address can sometimes serve more than one purpose.
Can I use any address?
The registered office must be a real physical location in Ireland. A PO Box is not enough. The address should be capable of receiving official post, because missing CRO, Revenue or legal correspondence can create unnecessary problems for a new company.

What happens if the address changes?
If your company changes registered office, the CRO must be notified. This is normally done with Form B2. Directors should not leave the old address on the register after the company has moved, because notices may continue going there.

Arrange the registered office before filing the company formation application. The address is part of the formation details, so it should be confirmed at the same time as the company name, directors, shareholders and share structure.
